The conference also marks the opening of the two exhibitions.

The painting exhibition will be opened on Thursday 30 July, (roughly) beween 15.30 and 16.30 in the Aula Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kab Buleleng (Jalan Ngurah Rai, Singaraja). The exhibition presents paintings of North Balinese artists. Curator is Hardiman.

Next the photo exhibition ‘Roots of North Balinese culture’ will be opened on Thursday 30 July, (roughly) beween 15.30 and 16.30 in the Museum Buleleng (Jalan Veteran 23, Singaraja). The exhibition presents photographs of parba, drawings, prasi and other works that have been preserved in Dutch libraries, retelling the cultural history of North Bali from 1850 onwards. Curator of the exposition is dr. Hedi Hinzler.
