Cultural Tour
On the final day of the conference a cultural tour will be organized, to show and experience North Balinese arts and culture on location.
The tour will lead to three cultural centres:
In Banyuatis, you will be greeted with coffee and a performance of Gong Tri Bhuana Giri, the same group that made a very successful appearance at the International Gamelan Festival Amsterdam (IGFA) in 2007, in the Netherlands. During lunch, a demonstration of wayang wong masks will also take place. During a short stop in nearby Munduk, you will be able to enjoy the fabulous panoramic view, and purchase some very fine North Balinese coffee.
In Nagasepaha, the program will consist of brief demonstrations of wayang kaca and wayang lemah. The children’s gamelan will also present a short program.
Our hosts from Tejakula have prepared a gong gede performance in the Pura Ponjok Batu, and the program goes on in desa Tejakula, with dinner and a performance of their famous wayang wong company.
When the tour is over, busses will take you back to your hotel.
